A. Overview
Trekking through the Langtang Valley is one of Nepal’s most explored trekking routes. Since it is close to the Kathmandu Valley (51 kilometers north) it has long been one of the favorite trekking routes. On the way to the Langtang valley, the trekkers can enjoy the mesmerizing glimpse of the mountain ranges and the sceneries.Langtang is the nearest location to the huge snow-capped mountains and stunning glaciers. Mount Langtang Lirung (7246 m/23766 ft) dominates the entire valley and offers pine trees, swift mountain streams, rugged cliffs, and snow-capped hills, grassy lawns, and meadows. Trekkers can also visit Langtang National Park, located 51 kilometers north of the valley of Kathmandu.

Trekking in the Langtang valley takes about 8 hours by car from Kathmandu. Syabrubesi is the beginning of the trek. You will follow the River Langtang east from Syabrubesi until you reach the Lama Hotel in Langtang valley.  You’re coming to Langtang Valley on the fourth day. You can visit a nearby Tibetan village and see their lifestyle in this valley   Kyanjin Gompa is the last destination for this walk.Although the village of Langtang was completely devastated by the 2015 earthquake, the villagers have tried their best to rebuild it for the tourists and visiting it may be the best support we can get. The region gives us the Buddhist culture of the Tamangs.

This route can be favorable for the trekkers who like the off-beat road. It is one of the most traveled routes following the base camp in Annapurna and the base camp in Everest. You get some wonderful views of the nearby peaks along the way, including Dorje Lakpa, and finally Shisha Pangma, Tibet’s only 8,000-meter mountain. A few minutes after passing through moraines marked by a variety of poles with prayer flags, the trail accents. Return to Kayanjing Gompa after a packed lunch.
